SOLAR HV PARTNERSHIP & UK SPECIALISM

MZ Jiangxi Mingzheng Substation Equipment Co., Ltd acts as the primary manufacturer and warrantor of the equipment. Thanos Renewables serves as the UK distribution partner and warranty facilitator for MZ Group. Note that Thanos Renewables does not manufacture the units.

The featured transformer equipment includes a 36-month manufacturer warranty effective from delivery or energisation. While MZ remains the warrantor, Thanos Renewables manages the technical relationship within the UK. Specific terms and response times are defined within individual sale contracts.

SOLAR PV TECHNICAL DESIGN PARTNER UK

GLOBAL SOLAR MANUFACTURING REACH

Documented record of 341 transformer contracts and 911 units between 2023-2025. This includes 597 solar project units, 475 BESS and wind units, 131 grid infrastructure units, and 1,708 commercial and industrial units. These figures highlight the scale of manufacturer production across diverse sectors.

These global metrics reflect the manufacturer’s broad output across various regions. Performance figures do not solely represent UK projects, nor do they suggest that every unit matches the specifications of the UK-targeted solar transformer range.

MITIGATING PROJECT RISK

Designs that fail to meet stringent UK DNO requirements
Disconnects between PV array engineering and HV hardware procurement
Insufficient technical scrutiny during international manufacturing
Vague technical accountability during the site handover process
Misalignment between solar plant delivery and UK grid testing rules
Lack of transparency regarding technical risks within the supply chain

UK SOLAR ENGINEERING QUALITY CONTROL

Dedicated technical guidance for utility-scale solar PV design, procurement and connection.

SOLAR CASE STUDY PROFILE

SITE METRICS

Comprehensive engineering consultancy for a 50MW+ solar farm, focusing on design validation, strict equipment specification, and integrated technical management of the HV network.

STRATEGY

Performed detailed schematic reviews, acted as the technical representative for DNO negotiations, and conducted factory audits to guarantee all solar assets reached UK standards.

OUTCOME

Achieved rapid grid energisation, eliminated technical delays, and ensured total engineering compliance before arrival.

PV ENGINEERING BEST PRACTICE
